The Poetry

	One man is named Giant or Hler. He lived in(on) island that is now
is called Hler's Island. He was very skilled in magic. He made (a)journey
one's to Asgards, and when Ęsir knew journey his was he welcomed well
and even so many thing with false appearances. And during the evening when
ther was much drinking, at that moment let Ošinn carry into the hall (a)sword,
and was so bright that the of one desired, and was not had light any other drink 
while they were sitting. Then went AEsir to their/his feast and sat on high seat 
(of) twelve AEsir, their when/is/ judge were to be and so were named:
Thor, Njorthr, Freyr, Tyr, Heimdallr, Bragi, Vitharr, Vali, Ullr, Hoenir, 
Forseti, Loki; likewise the goddesses: Frigg, Freyja, Gefjun, Ithunn, Gerthr, 
Sigyn, Fulla, Nanna. AEgi thought splendid there to look around them. Wall-panel 
all was there covered with fqgrum his shield. There were and strong mead and 
great deal drinking. Next to someone AEgi sat Bragi, and shared their with drink 
and conversation. Said Bragib(to) AEgi from many tidings which is AEsir have been 
involved with.
	He began there story about "three AEsir go home, Othinn and Loki and 
Hoenir, and go over fjqll and wilderness and difficult to obtain was food. And 
who there comes down in dal certain, so there the(an) ox herd and take one oxen 
and prepare for the cooking pit(clambake/dutch oven). But is their think that 
cook will it, uncover their cooking pit and was not cooked. And a second time is 
their break open the cooking pit, that this time was passed, and was not cooked. 
Say them when their between themselves they that must (have meaning) 
mean/signify. They hear there speech in an oak(the oak) up over oneself that see 
is there sat there an eagle and not small. Then said the eagle:
	'"If you are willing (to) get (with) me my fill of oxen, then may(?) cook 
in the cooking pit(dutch oven/clambake)."
	'they agree (to) this). Then let himself drop out of the tree and sit 
in/on/by the cooking pit and lay up immediately to begin with two ox's thigh and 
both shoulders. Then began Loki angry and grasped up (a) strong pole and angry 
with all strength and rekr in the body (of)the eagle. The eagle jerks away in 
response to (the) blow and flies up. That was fast pole with body (of the) eagle 
and hand (of) Loki against another end. The eagle flies high so that that feet 
take down the stones and became and the trees, but hand his think him that be 
torn must out of shoulder. He calls and asks most earnestly the eagle (a) truce, 
and he say to Loki shall never free become unless he grants his sword to bring 
Ithunni out of Asgarth with her apple, and Loki will that. Becomes he then free 
and goes to his companions and is not on this occasion related more news about 
their journey before they come home. At that appointed time entice Loki Ithunni 
out from(prepositional) Asgardth in a certain forest and says that he has found
apple which is her will precious object in them seem, and bade that she shall 
have with him their apple and together(compare) with the others.  Then came there 
Thjazi a giant in eagle disguise (shape or form) and takes Ithunni and flies away 
with (her) and to(in) Thjazi's mountain home to his farm(farmstead homestead). 
	'The AEsir became badly disaffected (angry) with Ithunni's disappearance 
and became they quickly grey(hoary) and old. They had their AEsir conference and 
[asked each other] what last was known about Ithunni, when that(she) was seen 
last to she gone from out of Asgardth with Loki. Then was Loki taken and brought 
to (the) conference and his name was kill(root word) or tortured.  Then is he 
become frightened that he said he must seek after Ithunni in the world of the 
giants(Jotunheima) if Freyja will lend his falcon shape to him. And when he 
obtained the falcon shape he flies north to Jotunheima and comes one day to 
Thjaza the giant.  He was rowing in (the) sea, and Ithunn was in at(his)
home(house).  Change Loki her in(to) a nut form(appearance) and had in his claws 
and Flies as hard as possible. When the Thjazi came home and (was) missing(past 
participle) Ithunnar, He took the eagle disguise and flew after Loki and caused 
the eagle's wind noise in the flight. When the AEsnir saw the falcon flying(flew) 
with the nut and heard the eagle flying, they go their out under Asgardth and 
carry there their load of wood shavings, and then the falcon flies in over the 
fortification, let him drop down with the wall of the fortification. Then the 
AEsirnir set fire to the wood-shavings and the eagle can not stop and he misses 
the falcon. Caught fire in the eagle's feathers and took then off lying(fluginn). 
Then were the AEsinir nearby and kill Thjaza the giant inside Asgrindr(the gates 
of the home of the AEsir) and then that slaying much spoken of(very famous). 
	'Then Skathi, daughter of the giant Thjaza, took helmet and the coat of 
mail and all armour and went to Asgardtha to avenge her father. Then AEsir 
offered her (a) settlement and compensation, and the first(to begin with) that 
she shall choose for herself man of them Asum and choose what foot and so not fly 
off. Then see her one man's foot exceptionally beautiful and said:
	"This choose I, little will be ugly in Baldri."
	'But that was Njourthr from Noatunum (Njourthr's home by/in the sea).

number. One there was Thjazi, another Ithi, third Gangr. When that had we the

giant.'
	Then says AEgir: 'That think me is well concealed in secret places.'
And one AEgir says: 'where from it has originated this craft that you call 
poetry?"
