You are now chatting with 'Nicholas' Nicholas: Hey there! Thank you for visiting Verizon Wireless Sales Chat! My name is Nicholas! May I have your name, please? Joe: Joe Nicholas: How are you today Joe ? Joe: doing ok. Nicholas: Glad to hear it. Nicholas: How can I help you today? Joe: ah Joe: I have an oldish samsung groove Joe: does what I need for now. Nicholas: Awesome! Joe: but I might be wanting to get notified with email or facebook updates in the near future which means getting a smartphone. Joe: I don't care what kind of smartphone, I'm more concerned about being a cheapskate. Joe: I see these "NEW Smartphone plans" the $60 and $70 plans Joe: per month Joe: seems a bit steep. Nicholas: For prepaid yes those are the prepaid options per month. They included unlimited talk and text with 2 GB of data for $60 and 4GB for $70. Joe: I see Page Plus offers some less than stellar phones, Kyocera something or other, BUT they have a plan that does what I need, and has data for $29 or $39 a month Joe: I don't need unlimited talk Joe: or text Joe: I rarely use the $15 a month I have to buy now. Joe: with the prepaid cards Joe: I estimate no more than $30 a month minutes usage in the near future. Joe: only thing that I might want is the smartphone email/facebook notifications. Joe: Page Plus works on the Verizon network too. Nicholas: Our prepaid smartphone plan prices are based off or normal plan prices but at half the cost. Joe: normal plan prices are $120 a month? Joe: anyway, I guess I'm looking for some hidden benefit to the $60/70 plan over migrating to Page Plus Nicholas: Roughly yes. Joe: which is, as I've found, half again what verizon is offering. Joe: verizon needs to work on a minimalist smartphone minutes/texts/data bundle. Joe: $30 a month for 500 minutes,500 txts, 500MB Joe: or something Joe: even 300 min/300txts/300MB Joe: it's less than Page Plus, but still with verizon. Joe: I'd avoid the hassle of switching vendor/carrier and vzw would keep a customer. Joe: and get more $ out of me Nicholas: Well I do not set up the plans those are the current ones offered by verizon they may have different ones in the future but I do not know if they will. Joe: yeah Joe: make a note pass it up the line in the suggestion box I guess. Joe: ought to give salespeople some flexibility though. Nicholas: More flexibility would be fantastic and I will make a note about your plan ideas, maybe they will name it after you too. :) Joe: sure Joe: turingish test, what's your favorite snack cake? Joe: I always ask that in these popup chat things. Joe: I suspect more often than not companies are running some sort of AI. Nicholas: Favorite snack cake, now this is something I do not know if I have a favorite for. Joe: that's what a computer would say. Nicholas: I use to really like SnoBalls before hostess up and died. Joe: we've got hostess back in stores here. Joe: I saw snoballs on the shelves yesterday. Nicholas: You lucky man you. Joe: yeah Joe: anyway. thanks for the sounding board. Joe: I'd like to stick with vzw, but it's looking like I might have to switch. Nicholas: If you had asked for a favorite candy bar that would be an easy answer. Joe: Well, as I said. Thank you for the response. I'll leave you alone now and get back to efnet. Bye. Nicholas: Have a great day.
